Am I responsible for testing my alarm system?

Yes. The alarm owner has the responsibility to test their own alarm system with our local office. We recommend testing your system at least once a month.

How do I test my alarm system?

To test your system, follow the instructions below:

1. Contact our local office at (334) 222-8777. Request to place your account on test.

2. Arm your system.

3. Trigger the alarm by simply opening a door or window that is protected by the alarm system.

4. Make sure that you can hear the alarm sound, such as a siren, bell, etc.

5. Call our local office and ensure that the alarm signal was received. If the test was successful, ask that your account be taken off of test mode.

I need to change my user password. Can PTS change this for me?

Yes. Just call our local PTS office at (334) 222-8777 and our professional, friendly staff will assist you.

How should I change the contacts on my emergency call list?

You can change your emergency contact list on the Pioneer Technology Services website. Click here to update your call list..

My alarm was set off by accident. What should I do?

If your alarm was accidentally triggered first enter you code to disarm the system. Our local PTS office should be contacting you to verify the alarm. Please, give the PTS agent your password when requested. If you do not hear from a PTS representative within 60 seconds, or if you have triggered the "Panic" button, please contact our office at (334) 222-8777 and request to cancel the police. Panic alarms are not verified before police help is dispatched.

In this situation, you may also be contacted twice. Once when the alarm signal is received, and again after the authorities have been contacted.

My keypad displays a service or trouble light. What does this mean?

A service or trouble light indicates that your system requires service. Refer to the operator manual or contact a PTS technician for help at (334) 222-8777.

How do I add an additional code to my alarm system?

You can call our staff at (334) 222-8777 during our business hours (8am - 5pm) between Monday and Friday. Our staff will be happy to enter the new codes for you.
